By accessing and using CounterSign (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CounterSign provides a platform for creating, storing, and publishing immutable legal terms and notices. The Service includes:

  • Creation of versioned legal terms documents
  • Cryptographic hashing for proof of existence
  • Public URL generation for constructive notice
  • Document version history tracking

3. License and Payment

Access to CounterSign requires a valid annual license:

  • License fee: €5 per year
  • Payment processed through Stripe
  • One license per account (non-stackable)
  • Licenses are non-transferable
  • No automatic renewal - you must manually renew before expiration

4. Registration and Account Security

You must provide accurate information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. User Content and Responsibilities

You retain ownership of all legal terms and content you create using the Service. However:

  • You are solely responsible for the content you publish
  • Content must not violate any applicable laws
  • Content must not infringe on third-party rights
  • Published versions are immutable and cannot be deleted
  • We are not responsible for the legal validity or enforceability of your terms

6. No Legal Advice

CounterSign is a technology platform only. We do not provide legal advice. The templates and examples provided are for informational purposes only. Consult a qualified attorney for legal advice specific to your situation.

7. Refund Policy

Due to the immediate digital nature of the Service and the provision of coupon codes upon payment, all sales are final. No refunds will be provided except as required by applicable law.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUNTERSIGN AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, but published content will remain accessible via public URLs.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable national laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
